Biography
Hi! I’m Alessandra and I am a multi-instrumentalist and educator from Oxford, England.
I started playing piano at the age of 3, before learning the clarinet, flute, saxophone, oboe and violin. I grew up playing in orchestras, wind bands, chamber groups, jazz bands and singing in choirs, and encourage all my students to do so too!
While obtaining my Masters in Chemical Engineering from University College London, I was fortunate enough to direct and musically direct many live music and musical theatre productions. These include the Live Music Society’s flagship show “Rhapsody” which consisted of a cast of around 120 instrumentalists and vocals all performing specially arranged covers of popular songs.
I have since worked in music production and songwriting in the UK, before moving to Bakersfield and teaching full time at Guitar Center.
I ensure that I tailor my classes to suit the needs of each individual student. It is very important to me that music is to be enjoyed – if you don’t want to play then I’m not doing my job properly!
As well as teaching piano, clarinet, flute, saxophone, violin, and recorders, I am also happy to dedicate classes to composition, songwriting, music production or music theory. Vocal coaching/accompaniment for auditions is also available on request.
I will be holding recitals for my students to showcase their progress
